For too long we have been unaccredited or provisionally accredited. Today we hold five of fourteen state accreditation benchmarks. To be accredited, we need nine. Within four years, we will have at least nine and our district will re-earn full accreditation.
It is the role of the board to set policy and then hire/support/fire the superintendent as necessary based on their capacity to perform. While this campaign is not loyal to any individual superintendent, we advocate for the responsibility of the board to support any sitting superintendent. If the superintendent is demonstrably unable to perform the board should replace them -- micromanagement is not a viable option. Student educational achievement is not supported by the board undermining the efforts of the superintendent: either support them fully or replace them promptly.
